What do our certifications mean?
USDA Organic
USDA certified organic foods are grown and processed according to federal guidelines addressing, among many factors, soil quality, animal raising practices, pest and weed control, and use of additives. Organic producers rely on natural substances and physical, mechanical, or biologically based farming methods to the fullest extent possible.
Fair Trade Certified
When products are Fairtrade Certified it means that they were produced in accordance with Fairtrade International's rigorous environmental, economic and social standards. This is independently verified through regular audits by an accredited third-party auditor, FLOCERT.
The Rainforest Alliance
The Rainforest Alliance certification seal means that the product (or a specified ingredient) was produced by farmers, foresters, and/or companies working together to create a world where people and nature thrive in harmony.
