One of our darker coffees with very low acidity, this cup offers a very rich and dense experience with notes of brown sugar, cocoa, a subtle hint of cedar, and sweet molasses.

Coffee Farm Information
Location: Dili, East Timor
Altitude: 800 - 1,600 Meters
Varietal: Hibrido de Timor, Bourbon
Process: Fully washed
Drying: Sun-dried
Harvest: April 2021

The Cooperativa Cafe Timor (CCT) works with
very small farms in East Timor. The majority of
land owners own less than a hectare of land. The CCT
was established in 1994 with the help of the USDA
and NCBA. and in 2001, the cooperative obtained
Fair Trade certification. The farms are located in
Maubesse, an area of high altitude and a sub-district in
the Ainaro district; Atsabe, in the Ermera district; the
Lequisa district; and the Aifu region. The coffee from
East Timor was originally planted over 400 years ago
by Portuguese colonists. However, after an epidemic
of coffee leaf rust, the replanting of plants occured and
led to the creation of a new coffee varietal of Hibrido
de Timor.

Hard to say

If I actually received my coffee that i ordered then I would be able to tell you. But after reaching out 2 times to get an answer and was told the manager would call me back and never did it is hard to say. What is not hard to say is that I will most likely not be ordering from your company again.

Smooth and Earthy

These Timor beans make the perfect cold brew in my opinion. I like cold brew to be earthy, low acidity and smooth and this hits all those points. This is closer to the old cold brew coffee beans from BR. I find the current Sumatra to be a bit more fruity in comparison to both the old Cold Brew variety and this Timor.

Timor is good but Sumatra still my favorite

I enjoy Timor, though it is a little milder than Sumatra, which continues to be my favorite as I like a rich, bold, yet smooth roast.
